AI is rewriting who gets ahead. Feed the Need Industries makes sure underserved communities, the nonprofits that serve them, and people navigating life with health conditions aren't left out of that future.
The Problem
Every quarter that passes without access, the distance between people who use AI and people who don't grows a little wider β and for some communities, the isolation runs deeper than a skills gap.
Generative AI is reshaping employment, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit work. Without access and training, whole communities risk permanent exclusion from the next economy.
Passionate founders spend years buried in 501(c)(3) paperwork and tech overhead β time they could spend serving the people who need them.
Women of color living with Multiple Sclerosis are underdiagnosed, under-researched, and often navigate the disease without a community that looks like them.
No access AI and related resources means limited success in job applications, class resources and success, limited access to AI services that have quietly moved to subscription based models.
Our Mission
Feed the Need Industries exists to equip underserved communities, the nonprofits serving them, and people facing health and identity-based isolation with the technology, AI tools, and organizational support they need to thrive β not just get by. We've spent a decade showing up: refurbishing laptops, cutting nonprofit formation from years to weeks, and now, teaching AI literacy to people the tech industry usually skips.
"Equip people in underserved communities with the AI skills, tools, and opportunity to participate in β and shape β the next economy."
Founded in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) β from technology donations and digital-skills training to today's AI literacy movement.
We helped MS Thrive β a community serving women of color with MS β complete its own 501(c)(3) status in 2026, after years of stalled paperwork.
In partnership with the National MS Society, we helped launch the BlackMS Experience community β now 9,000+ members strong.
AI literacy virtual sessions, nonprofit AI advisory, and an AI Care Concierge under development for the communities we serve.
How It Works
You don't have to navigate this alone. Here's how we walk alongside you.
Tell us your community's need or your nonprofit's goal. We listen first β every situation is different.
A custom roadmap β AI training, technology access, nonprofit support, or a connection into Care community.
With tools and support in hand, you serve your community β or navigate your own journey β with real staying power.
Real Stories, Real Change
"ΒΏPodemos usar las computadoras todos los dΓas?" β Can we use the computers every day? The joy on that 10-year-old's face said everything about what access to technology means.
"We had been working on our nonprofit status for over four years. Gene and the FTN team got it done in a few weeks. I and the women of our community are grateful."
"We're so appreciative of the computer donations. They're making a real impact on our English Learning Program and helping address unemployment in our community."
What We Do
Free AI assessments, pilot workflows, and staff training for 501(c)(3)s regardless of budget β including our own advisory work with MS Thrive.
We use AI inside our own programs β routing clothing, household items and hardware donations, updating curriculum and operation plan, and keeping communications running β then sharing what works.
We co-originated the BlackMS Experience with the National MS Society and are now developing an AI-powered care and support platform β including "MS Caring," an AI concierge that explains medical jargon, surfaces trusted resources, and connects women of color living with MS to each other and to help.
We administer and fund a scholarship honoring Debra J. Santos, awarding renewable gifts to women of color pursuing higher education β plus mentoring and access to our AI programs.
Join the Mission
Whether you fund a workshop, donate hardware, volunteer your skills, or support the scholarship or support our AI conceige Care platform β every action closes the gap between where a community or person is and where it could be.
